Fare Calculation Rules
Reference Date for Determining Fare
The criteria for applying the fare calculation rules differ depending on the timing, such as when you made the purchase or change.
Specific Examples
Here are some examples of fare calculation rules and reference dates for determining the fare.
[Time of purchase]
The fare in effect on the travel start date at the date of purchase is applied. (The reservation class/seasonality is applied to the outbound travel date and return travel date, respectively.)
An outbound SORATABI flight (SFJ(7G)75 from Haneda to Kitakyushu on August 15) and a return SORATABI flight (SFJ(7G)80 from Kitakyushu to Haneda on August 30) are purchased on June 1.
Even if the fares for flights in August are later increased on August 20, because the fare in effect on the travel start date (August 15) will be applied to both the outbound and return flights based on the ticketing date (June 1), the fare for the return flight remains unchanged.
[Time of alteration (before commencement of travel)]
The fare in effect on the travel start date is applied to the entire itinerary on the date the change is made.
(The reservation class/seasonality is applied on the outbound travel date and return travel date, respectively.)
An outbound flight (SFJ(7G)75 from Haneda to Kitakyushu on August 1) and a return flight (SFJ(7G)80 from Kitakyushu to Haneda on September 3) are purchased at a regular fare on May 20. If a change is made to a reserved flight on July 1 for an outbound flight (SFJ(7G)75 from Haneda to Kitakyushu on August 5) and a return flight (SFJ(7G)80 from Kitakyushu to Haneda on September 4), the fare in effect on the travel start date (August 5) is applied on the day the change is made (July 1) for both the outbound and return flights.
[Time of alteration (after commencement of travel)]
The fare in effect on the travel start date at the date of purchase is applied to the changed flight.
(The reservation class/seasonality is applied to the outbound travel date and return travel date, respectively.)
An outbound flight (SFJ(7G)75 from Haneda to Kitakyushu on July 1) and a return flight (SFJ(7G)80 from Kitakyushu to Haneda on October 3) are purchased at a regular fare on May 25. If a change is made to the reserved return flight on July 5 (SFJ(7G)80 from Kitakyushu to Haneda on October 5) after boarding the outbound flight on July 1, the fare in effect on the travel start date (July 1) at the date of purchase (May 25) is applied to the return flight.
