If the total linear dimensions of the insturment cases do not exceed 115 cm
Violins, violas, clarinets, flutes, ukuleles, and other instruments may be carried onto the aircraft as carry-on baggage.
However, this is limited to those whose cases have a total of the three sides within 115 cm, and each of the three sides is within 55 cm, 40 cm, and 25 cm, respectively. If any of these dimensions are exceeded, please inform the airport staff.

Please store yoour instrument in the over-head compartment.

Please check in any large musical instruments that cannot be carried on board, such as double basses, at the baggage counter.
If the total linear dimensions of the insturment cases exceed 115 cm
Guitars, basses, trombones, tenor saxophones, and other baggage exceeding the specified size (total of the three sides of the instrument case exceeding 115 cm) should be checked in at the baggage counter.
If you wish to carry on to the aircraft, a separate seat purchase is required ("Cabin Baggage Fee"). Please inform the SF CALL CENTER (Domestic Reservation Center) when making your reservation.

As of January 31, 2026, we will discontinue the use of dedicated containers for checked baggage.
When checking in your luggage, please ensure that it is properly packed by yourself.
