International flights: Passengers with infants and young children

• When you make an online reservation with us, you can make a reservation for 1 infant (under 2 years old) per adult.
  If you are using a seat for the infant, contact SF CALL CENTER (For International Flight Reservation and Information) to make a reservation.
• Children under 5 years of age must be accompanied by an attendant (aged 12 or older).

You can make a seat reservation at the same time you reserve your ticket.

Available at least 40 minutes prior to flight departure.

You will have to request the service at the departure airport on or after the above times.

  There are restrictions on the number of seats that can be reserved. We appreciate your understanding in cases in which we are unable to meet your request.

  Changes in the aircraft used may result in changes to the seat number.

  Bring your own child seat by yourself.

Passengers attach and remove the seats by themselves. You will need to purchase a ticket and reserve a seat.
To do so, please contact the SF CALL CENTER (For International Flight Reservation and Information).
For safety reasons, you will not be allowed to carry on a child seat that does not meet the following requirements. If you are not able to attach a child seat, even if it is approved by standards or regulations, we will accept it as checked baggage.

  The weight of a passenger using a child seat must not exceed the child seat’s weight limit.
• (2)
  The child seat shall meet the following requirements:

    A seat that is no more than 43 cm wide.
  • ②
    A seat that can be properly fixed to an aircraft seat using an aircraft seat belt. ISOFIX child seats (a type that secures the child seat to a seat by using a dedicated connector rather than a seat belt) are not allowed, as there is no connecting points available for them at the seats on the aircraft. However, child seats that are compatible with both seat belts and ISOFIX and that can be properly secured to an aircraft seat by way of an aircraft seat belt are allowed.

    A child seat that can secure the passenger using it by means of its harness.
  • ④
    The child seat shall be one of the following products that are permitted for use on board: A product with the label or the mark indicating that it satisfies Japanese automobile standards (JIS, type designation standards for devices).

      A product with the label or the mark indicating that it satisfies the U.S. automobile standards (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS)).
    • ・
      A product with a label or the mark indicating that it satisfies European automobile standards (ECE or UN: United Nations Economic Commission for Europe).
    • ・
      A product that has the approval or specification approval for FAA TSO-C100b (including later revised editions. The same applies hereinafter.) and the label or the mark indicating it. As for booster types (a seat-only type), vest types (a backrest-only type), harness types, and the knee-fixing types, this is limited to only CARES seats that have FAA TSO-C100b approval or specification approval for FAA TSO-C100b.
      * Child seats with these safety standards are affixed with a safety standard approval label.

Child seats with these safety standards are affixed with a safety standard approval label.

Cribs are available for use in-flight. To request one, contact SF CALL CENTER (For International Flight Reservation and Information) when you make a reservation.

  There are height and weight limits for children that can use the crib. Note also that there are a limited number available, and we may not be able to meet your request in some cases.

  The crib can be mounted in front of the first row of seats.

  It can only be used when the seatbelt sign is off.

Passengers will be given priority for boarding the aircraft. Customers who would like to use this service should please come to the boarding gate early.

Cabin attendants will help you prepare milk formula on board. Do not hesitate to ask.
Diaper changing tables are available in the onboard lavatories.

  Not all lavatories are installed with a diaper changing table. For details, please ask crew.

  Diaper changing tables can be used when the seatbelt sign is off.
