1. Purpose of Acquisition and Use

We will acquire your personal information in an appropriate and fair manner only to the extent necessary for our business. We will acquire and use your personal information for the following purposes:

    Reservation for air transportation services, sale of air tickets, checking in, airport handling, and in-flight services;
  • (2)
    Providing information, provision and management of other services and products we handle;
  • (3)
    Any and all operations incidental or related to (1) and (2) above;
  • (4)
    Conducting surveys on services and products of Star Fryer Mileage Program;
  • (5)
    Conducting surveys on our services and products;
  • (6)
    Provision of guidance and information on various events and campaigns;
  • (7)
    Development of new services and products;
  • (8)
    Communication about provision of our services and products;
  • (9)
    Responding to inquiries and requests; and
  • (10)
    Provision to third parties as stipulated in the following paragraph (including other carriers, service providers, public agencies and other third parties in the countries of departure, destination, transit and connection for air transportation services used by you (hereinafter referred to as "third parties in foreign countries")).

2. Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties

We will not disclose or provide your personal information to any third party except in the cases described below. Furthermore, joint use with, or provision to, subcontractors shall not be deemed as disclosure or provision of personal information to third parties.
In the event, however, that disclosure or provision of personal information to third parties in foreign countries is restricted by laws and regulations, we will not disclose or provide your personal information to any third party except in the cases stipulated in (1), (4) and (6) below.

    Cases in which your prior consent has been obtained.
  • (2)
    Cases in which disclosure or provision is required under laws and regulations.
  • (3)
    Cases in which it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain your consent.
  • (4)
    Cases in which it is necessary to cooperate with a national government or local government or a person entrusted thereby in execution of the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and in which obtaining your consent is likely to hinder the execution of the said affairs.
  • (5)
    Where, at the time of providing personal information, it is decided that the provision to a third party of such personal information from which you can be identified shall be discontinued upon your request, and where the following matters are notified to you or put in a readily accessible condition for you in advance.
    • The purpose of use is to provide such information to a third party.
    • Items of such personal information to be provided to a third party.
    • Measures or methods of provision of such personal information to a third party.
    • The fact that provision to a third party of such personal information from which you are identified shall be discontinued at your request.
  • (6)
    When disclosing or providing personal information in a format in which your identification is not identifiable such as statistical data.

3. Subcontracting of Business

When outsourcing a part of our business operations, we may provide your personal information to the extent necessary to the subcontractor. In this case, we will conclude confidentiality agreements with our subcontractors concerning the handling of your personal information, strictly observe them, and conduct appropriate supervision of such subcontractors.

4. Safety Management

We manage your personal information appropriately and take the utmost care to prevent leakage, loss or falsification. We provide in-house training to executives and employees regarding the protection and appropriate handling of your personal information. In addition, we shall separately set a retention period for personal information in accordance with the purpose of use and dispose of such information in an appropriate manner after the expiration of such period.

5. Disclosure, etc.

In the event that you requests (1) disclosure, (2) correction, addition or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc."), (3) suspension of use or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc."), or (4) notification of the purpose of use ((1) through (4) shall hereinafter be collectively referred to as "disclosure, etc.") with regard to your personal information, we will take the following measures. Furthermore, personal information subject to the request shall be limited to the personal information for which we have the authority to disclose (which corresponds to "retained personal data" as provided for in the Personal Information Protection Act).

    Request for disclosure
    We will disclose your personal information in writing or in any other manner agreed to by you. However, in any of the following cases, we may refuse the request.
    • Cases in which there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the person or a third party;
    • Cases in which there is a risk that the proper execution of our business may be seriously hindered; and
    • Cases in which it leads to violation of laws and regulations.
  • (2)
    Request for correction, etc.
    We will investigate the details of the request and make corrections, etc. based on the results of the investigation.
  • (3)
    Request for suspension of use, etc.
    If the request is found to be well-grounded, we will suspend the use to the extent necessary.
  • (4)
    Request for notification of purpose of use
    We will notify the purpose of use. However in any of the following cases, we may refuse the request:
    • Cases in which the purpose of use is clear;
    • Cases in which there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the person or a third party;
    • Cases in which there is a risk of causing damage to our rights or legitimate interests; and
    • Cases in which it is necessary to cooperate with a national government or a local government in execution of the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and in which there is a risk of hindering the execution of the said affairs.

6. Inquiries

For the request in the preceding paragraph, please make such request as described below, and, for other inquiries regarding personal information please make such inquiries in writing to the address as described in (1) below. Please note, however, that any inquiry made by an individual whose identity cannot be confirmed will be rejected. We will endeavor to respond appropriately and promptly to any complaints or opinions that we have received.

In addition, with regard to inquiries, changes, and suspension of use of the Starlink Member's personal information from the Starlink Member, if you contact Starlink Secretariat Navigation Dial 0570-07-1001 (or 093-512-3377 if you use a certain type of IP-phone), we will promptly respond to a reasonable extent.
The personal information of a member shall not be provided or disclosed to a third party (including a third party in a foreign country), except with the prior consent of the member, as stipulated in the Starlink General Terms and Conditions, or as requested under laws and regulations.

Please be aware that in the event of a failure to complete the form, we will not be able to respond to your request. The postage will be borne by the requesting party.

        (in the case of a statutory representative, a certificate of individual records/ the family register or a certificate of registered matters certifying that he/she is the statutory representative)
